Suicide Prevention for Youth

Warning signs in youth for suicide:

  • Talking about or making plans for suicide
  • Expressing hopelessness about the future
  • Displaying severe/overwhelming emotional pain or distress
  • Showing worrisome behavioral cues or marked changes in behavior, particularly in the presence of the warning signs above.


This includes signs of significant:

– Withdrawal from or change in social connections/situations
– Changes in sleep (increased or decreased)
– Anger or hostility that seems out of character or context
– Recent increased agitation or irritability

Heloise trains to service providers and caregivers to equip them in TIC and numerous counseling issues such as suicide and self-harm prevention, anxiety, depression and grief.
