I want to thank humanitarian Cecilia Sakatira for coming to the US to tour for Threads of Hope Hellas. An organization that blesses human trafficking victims and survivors. I am sure it was a sacrifice of love.

Many of us work and pray diligently to have intelligent well adjusted children. Do you?

I love this quote to elaborate on when speaking to youth. Not in a throw it in your face manor but truthfully with as much transparency as possible.

Tell me, many rough spots would you have saved if you listened to your parents?

I personally could have saved about a decade of grief. Haha

Now I have rich content for “what not to do”. I’m truly indebted to my parents who stuck it out in my young crazy years.

While Proverbs 13 has lots of great sound bites…this is a conversation starter to unpack:

“Intelligent children listen to their parents; foolish children do their own thing.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:1‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I will try to remember to use this verse which popped out at me this week 🙂 We have been adjusting to a few significant changes in the Ridley home with a shift in the many lovely faces of our large family and new logistics. It’s been pretty “sticky” to live this verse.

I personally did a few mommy time-outs and definitely sent many to their spots to regroup. ?

This statement from Proverbs is a helpful reminder. It’s a good one if our kids struggle with being mean to their siblings. Once the learn it the only need us to say the first part and pop… Recall will bring it back up.

“Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim.”‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15:4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This was the last day of my LUGREECE class trip to Greece where our class learned about human trafficking and the legal prostituti’n in the country. We went during the height of the economic crisis 2015. Touring the gorgeous country was fun but the exploitation of women there was difficult to stomach. Something needs to be done to help the ladies who are still there and in need.
