Archives For Encouragement

I believe this says it all 🙂

Sometimes we may feel tired and disgusted. Some folks may not want to admit it because they have their “game face” on even though they are hurting inside. It’s ok. I get it….

Either way this verse is a promise from God… if we don’t quit.

We ask you Lord to renew our strength. We are trying our best but need a boost from You Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Mommy Memories:

I loved to teach just Isaiah 40 verse 31 to toddlers with hand movements. The wee ones would be on my lap since I spent so much time pregnant or nursing somebody.  They loved to flap their wings around like an eagle, run around the room a few times and then march in place as I say it. We end it all and say “Yay, Hallelujah”

I’m sure I have an old video with the lil ones doing this on YouTube somewhere??

Maybe. I will check.

Blessings,

Lois

One of my personal missions in life as a Parent is to ask God how to Glue Kids to Him so that they have a better chance of sticking and to share with others what I learn along the way as a Parent Coach. Parenting is much easier when God is in our children and teens’ hearts and He can teach them as He has promised so they can live a more peaceful life.

Sticking of course means staying connected to Him in their lives to fulfill the role He created for them and have a more successful life

If you get to know me personally, you will notice I love art. Particularly paintings & drawings. Sculptures are fascinating to me but photography rocks. Matisse was the best of the classical world but I am enjoying this posted artwork from the Iris Global website. I was fishing for information on the Harvest School that my son is attending this summer as any snooping parent would for more details….and found an art treasure.

Praying Momma; an excellent watercolor that says it all. You can see her intense connection with God as she prays to Him for her son. Wow!

The  Iris Fine Arts page on the Iris Global Website https://www.irisglobal.org/multimedia/fine-arts#4 will lead you to other gorgeous paintings as well.

For more information on this painting contact Kathy Evans – kathy@irisglobal.org

Iron Jen Show-podcast

” Be inspired, motivated and encouraged to discover how build resiliency and iron focus in order to leverage adversity to reach your potential”

-The Iron Jen

Often, I find many people have things in their heart they want to accomplish, yet they are discouraged and afraid. Some feel too tired to try since they have many obstacles to overcome.

A starting place for them to change is by renewing their minds and gain courage to go forward even when they may feel like quitting or giving up on their family, hopes and dreams.

I always encourage them to pray and read their Bible if they are people of faith.

The Word of God is stuffed with helpful verses that give courage and strength :

“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)

After those bases are covered…. I cannot say enough about The Iron Jen Show podcast. Iron Jen’s honesty and transparency keep me hooked on the show.

I listen to it regularly from the podcast app on my iPhone. You can listen on Android and on Blog Talk Radio on your computer. You can subscribe to automatically receive new episodes.

The background story is a family that has worked hard to climb out of massive debt, compete in triathlons, manage their busy lives with four children including one son who unfortunately has serious health issues for God to heal.

The podcast is designed for people from all walks of life who need encouragement and support. Iron Jen tackles life’s tough issues with her guests who help listeners overcome everything from writing a book,  starting or expanding a business, to climbing out of depression or helping a child conquer substance abuse.
